Why Create The Stay At Home Single Moms Club

Well, as I watched my oldest child begin to grow up, I realized that time is very precious.

At that very moment I had to evaluate what I was doing with my time.

I mean really look at each hour of each day.

I realized I spent more hours of my life working to building another persons dream, while my life passed me by.

I realized I had to make a change, not only for myself, yet for my daughters.

The decision to create the stay at home single moms club appeared easy as first. Yet, once I started putting the idea together.. I started getting in my own way. For some reason I simply didn’t feel qualified to help other single moms.

Why??

Because God was doing something with my heart. Finally I realized that I have plenty to offer.. because the truth is I only have to offer myself.. and allow God to work through me. Once I became an empty vessel.. the vision of the Stay At Home Single Moms Club exploded.

I’m a member of a few Single Moms organizations, Project Single Mom being one. I realized while volunteering that single moms really are powerful individuals.. yet many are unaware of their true power.

I could sit here and say it’s hard. I mean can’t count how many of my friends have said to me.. “I don’t know how you do it Shalonda.” Or “You make it look so easy”

The reality is.. I’ve been a single mom since day one.. so I really don’t know any other way. This is my reality. It’s my life.. I was raised by a single mom as well… so it’s pretty much what I know… smile

I could sit here and throw out a lot of stats that are available about single moms and the chances our kids have for success yet instead I’m just going to tell you what has actually happened since I’ve become a stay at home single mom.

Now first let me say this.. there are stay at home mom jobs all around.. yet most of them target the mom that is married staying at home, while there is another person who is providing for the the family.

My goal is to see more single moms at home.. PERIOD!

Now I want to tell you that the reason I initially started my own business was because I wanted to hang out with my kids.. yet.. that would be a lie.

The truth is that I NEEDED.. some child support.

See I was taking care of my girls SOLO.. financially, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

And the money coming in was not enough to cover all the expenses..

My daughters have two different fathers, and the oldest’s father had decided to take a vacation on his support.. and I’m not going to go into that here.. yet just know we deal with the feelings that this type of issue causes here in the Club.

My youngest daughter’s father has never helped support her.. and I knew that would be the case while I was carrying her in my womb.

Regardless of what their fathers do or do not do.. does not change the fact that I have to take care of them.

So I actually initially began my own business on-line in order to make a few extra $100 per month.

Really I desired to make $500 per month so that I could supplement my income. I still remember when I actually made enough money to put my youngest in daycare.. I was so excited that I forgot that I didn’t like being in front of the camera and cut this video..

That was May 24, 2010..

Wow.. at that moment I was not yet making enough to quit the job and come home.. yet at that moment I really began to see what was possible.

Look around.. are you enjoying every second of your life?

No seriously.. think about it.. do you love your job.. or is it something you could honestly do without.. Are you alert and and energetic at the kids activities.. or are you tired.. because you gave your best to a job or somebody else?

Better yet are you able to do homework with your kids.. or are you depending on the system to educate them because you have to work and make a living?

See these are the questions that I had to seriously answer.. and no it was not always easy to accept my reality!

Which is why The Stay At Home Single Moms Club is vital.. see you are not alone.. and I know the struggle.. I understand the reality.. and I have the key to that door that you see yet can’t seem to open.

Before I get into what the club can do for you and your family.. look at some of the results I’ve had and why I’m qualified to lead you.. they say a picture is worth a 1000 words.. soooo..

In 2013 I was able to take the family to Disney World in Orlando and we had a ball..

We actually wen to Disney in 2010 as well for my daughters 10 birthday.. The Stay At Home Single Moms Club takes your life to an entirely new level.. smile.

I was able to go to Arizona and climb Camelback mountain.. something I never would have been able to do had I not taken control of my child support situation.

And this past summer 2014 we went to Jamaica.. yes all because of the Stay At Home Single Moms Club I’m able to now travel the world with my girls.

What can the Stay At Home Single Moms Club do for me and my family?

Really it is up to you! See I’ve learned that I can not make anything happen.. See I’m not God.

What I can do is make sure you have the information necessary to become an actual Stay at home single mom.

Honestly, I really desire to raise up a group of single moms that desire to pull up some more single moms.

I see a future where our kids are thanking the fact that this club existed because they had the opportunity to have their Moms around.

Sometimes we don’t realize how much our kids miss us.. we ignore the fact, when we know it is true, because it hurts too much.

We see certain behavior in our kids, and we know they didn’t get it from us.

We ignore it, because it hurts too much.

Well how about we stop hurting and start taking steps toward becoming the MAIN caregiver of our children.

The Unsubscribe Tells You Something Important About Your Business

In this game of internet marketing if you are next experiencing the “Unsubscribe”.. then you simply aren’t doing something right!

Yes I said it… and if you need me too.. I will say it again..

See back when a started on-line.. about 6 years ago.. and really just started learning how to generate leads, I would get nervous about the unsubscriber.

Especially their comments as to WHY they unsubscribed.

Why? Well.. because back then I took it as though I was doing something wrong instead of realizing it was something I was doing right.

Let’s go even deeper.. when you are pulling in 1 or 2 leads a day.. well the 1 0r 2 unsubcribe notices a day makes you feel like you are not really moving forward.

Back in 2010.. I remember when I stopped sending emails all together just to avoid the unsubscribe.

Don’t read this like.. Oh.. I would not have done that.. truth be told you might just be sitting there and can’t remember the last time you emailed your list..

The unsubscribe tells you that you are marketing to your target market!

Email marketing helps you to see who is really going to join you.. and who is not.. so email your list.. and be YOURSELF.. so that those that are not feeling you.. will get off the list.

Yes you want them to unsubscribe!

Now if you are not at a point where you are building a list.. yet you are building a business on-line. Then you MUST start to build your list. Your money is in the list.

I called myself building a business for 10 years without a list.. I had little sheets of paper all over the place.. in my file cabinet with contact information from people that came to my Network Marketing meetings and home parties.. yet I had no way to follow up with each of them without picking up the phone and calling each one individually. And honestly that is a lot of time.. (See we didn’t have the internet back then to make it so easy.. lol..)

Behind The Scenes The Unsubscribe Can Come Across like…

I get the craziest reason for why people unsubscribe. Some simply unsubscribe and do not leave a reason.. yet there are always those ones that take it real personal and come off the list with their fist swinging!

I’v bee called the B word.. I’ve been cursed out.. I’ve been called fake.. you name it and I’ve seen it from a subscriber. Yet.. let me make sure you understand something.

Every subscriber on my list.. placed themselves there. They decided they desired the information that I was offering at any given time. They typed their email into the form.. because they wanted something.. then the emails start hitting that area of their life.. where they are unwilling to accept responsibility and then they unsubscribe focusing the anger at me that they should focus on what ever it is that has them willing to move forward.

FREEDOM HURTS SOMETIMES!! Oh YES IT DOES!!

If you are reading this post and you are living a life of freedom.. you know.. just like I know that there are many nights that I cried myself to sleep because I had to accept responsibility for my world. For my life.. for my situation.. and sometimes the truth hurts.. PERIOD!

Never Take Responsibility For The Unsubscribe, Treat It Like A Job Well Done.. As A Seed Was Sown

See I was raised in a world where my mother pretty much never made me take responsibility for my actions.. Now I felt that thing.. yet we never really sat down and had a conversation about what it really means to accept responsibility for what you say, do, think, feel, etc.

So I made a decision early on, that I would have these conversations with my daughters.. as letting the world teach me this lesson was way more painful then it had to be.

So my oldest daughter, Catherine (13) was going through a season when she was snapping on my youngest daughter Chloe (7) all the time. I finally had enough of this and decided it was time for a conversation. See I like love and peace to fill my home.. not arguing and frustration.

So I asked Catherine.. “What’s the problem, why are you snapping at Chloe?”

And she starts in… “Chloe did this.. and Chloe did that..”

I had to stop her right there.. “Catherine I didn’t ask you about Chloe.. I asked you about YOUR actions, So what is going on with YOU that you can not control your emotions and how you speak to Chloe?”

She stops.. and looks at me.. puzzled.. her eyes start watering up.. as she begins to feel the root of thing rising up in her, yet she is not sure how to express it..

I take over.. and say let me explain something to you.. “How you respond to Chloe is planting a seed as to how she will respond to you someday.. just like I planted a seed in you as to how you are responding today. I’m not surprised that you are snapping.. and not really looking at yourself.. I did the same thing at your age, because no one taught me different. Yet I’m going to share with you.. an amazing truth. One that many around you do not know or want to understand. “Every time you get frustrated with Chloe and allow her actions to determine how you respond.. you give her power over you. Chloe is now able to guide you in any direction she chooses because YOU gave her responsibility over you.”

Catherine looked…. back to that in a second..

Now when you have a unsubscribe on your list and they attack you.. that is AWESOME..as you have just been given power for pointing out a truth in that person that they are not ready to deal with yet.. so it’s really best they get off your list.. as you only have time for those that are ready to make a change in their lives and follow you!

Ok.. so Catherine is looking at me intently.. the minute I said Chloe has power over you.. her face changed.. her eyes twinkled and she said..’

“Mom, I’m tired and Chloe keeps coming in my room bothering me, and I have not figured out how to communicate to her in a way that will get her to do what I want.”

Now that this point.. I was like… “Dang.. she said it better then I would have said it”

The video below shows a prime example of a unsubscribe tossing responsibility and in doing so allowing their language to speak truth.. check it out.

Do not allow the unsubscribe link to scare you.. in some of my messages I lead with the phrase thanks for being here.. yet if you don’t like what you see “unsubscribe”.

Look.. the reality is this is part of the business.

So today I decided to head out to the movies to see Denzel Washington in The Equalizer.

I’d seen all the previews.. thinking to myself.. this baby must be an action packed enjoyment of my Friday morning.

Now first let me just tell you.. if you haven’t seen the movie yet… Keep reading.. this is perfect for you.. yet let me tell you.

If you want to know what happens in this movie.. you better ask somebody else. I treat others the way I like to be treated.. and I hate it when people tell me parts of movies I have yet to see.. smile.

Yet there is this one thing..

This thing.. that I simply couldn’t let go without pointing it out.

Lean in.. come on now.. don’t be shy.. come in closer to your screen..

The Equalizer Movie Will Cause You To Reflect On Yourself

I don’t know about you.. yet when I watch movies I like to pull something that I can relate to my life.

Something that when I leave the movie.. I can say to myself.. “Shalonda.. it’s just a movie.. yet take ______ from it”

And honestly The Equalizer came with a few mind-blowing truths that I had to accept.

Yet before I get into those truths.. I have to give you a little background..

No worries.. I’m not going to tell the movie..

I remember a time in my life when I was fearless.. I honestly felt like I was invisible. It wasn’t until I few weeks ago did I realize that my mind had changed on this reality.

See a friend of mines invited me out to see the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome. We had amazing seats, they were in section 137 and row 14. Talk about CLUTCH!!

As the game was on a Thursday night I knew driving into the city was going to be CRAZY.. so I decided to ride the Marta, the public train system. Now.. before I go further, just know that I’m not saying anything negative about public transportation.. so please don’t get off track.. stay focused on what I’m telling you..

So as I’m thinking it through.. I decide I would really rather drive.. yet parking on a game night is from $25-$60. And I was not paying that..yet I felt some kind of way about not having my car. Stay with me it’s all going to come together with The Equalizer in just a second.

I called my dad and asked him what he thought, as he is a season ticket holder. He told me to ride the Marta. Well, as I’ve gotten older.. I’ve accepted that “Daddy knows best”. So I told him.. I had not rode the public transportation downtown in so long.. I felt a little nervous about the journey. He said.. “Stay alert.. you’ll be alright”

Then I told him.. Yeah.. I’ll be fine!

See the last time I rode the train to the Georgia Dome was before I had kids.. It was March 27, 1998 and The Bulls were playing The Hawks at the Georgia Dome.. Phillips Arena was being built. I know the date because it was the largest crowd in NBA history with 62,046 people in attendance. I didn’t notice.. as I had 1 ticket.. 3 rows back from the floor. Rodman fell on me trying to keep the ball in play.. I swear Jordan was looking right at me when he took his free throw shots.. Talk about a night for the record books!

I still remember to this day heading down there.. not a concern in the world.. not worried about anything… yet this time.. 16 years later.. single mom of two.. lots of experiences that told me anything can happen.. everything felt…. well different.

The Equalizer Showed Me A Reality That Exploded My Business Overnight…

The Equalizer movie trailer showed action.. yet I had no idea that I would discover that I’m still just as invisible as I ever was in my youth.

The fact that I didn’t know it.. well.. it was a problem. It was holding me back. I simply had allowed knowledge and experience to hinder my FEARLESS spirit.

There was a confidence in Denzel Washington’s character in this movie.. A “I don’t care what you think about me.. I will WIN” type confidence. It wasn’t a blind, arrogant confidence.

It was an “I know.. Like I know.. Like I know.. kind of confidence. Look I never watched the The Equalizer episodes.. yet this movie.. shook me out of place of not allowing myself to be WHO I AM!!

And the facts are I AM a successful business owner. I AM an AWESOME Mom. I AM AN Internet Marketer. I AM A Child of God!

Christian Hip Hop Artisit Explodes At #1 Spot On Billboard 200 Chart

Christian Hip Hop Is On A New Level!

I simply had to switch it up today.. WHY??

Well when I heard this news… my heart skipped a beat.

As you read this post all the way to the end.. you not only become VERY motivated.. yet you will have a better understanding of what’s going on in YOUR life!

There are moments when a person simply stands out.. A moment when everything lines up and there is no denying that success has arrived.

Lecrae is one of those people. A few weeks ago this guy broke records.. and it’s not the first time.. it was just that moment when the world noticed.

My opinion is he has changed the view of Christian Hip Hop..

And honestly it’s a prime example of that saying, “It’s not about YOU”!

Before I go any further I want you to hear it directly from Lacrea…

How This Christian Hip Hop Artist Change The Game!

While most Christian artists have struggled to break out of the Christian music subculture, Lecrae has found early crossover success — and a significant following among white evangelical elites.

He navigates the tricky waters between rapping explicitly about Christianity while reaching a mainstream audience.

According to Billboard, he’s sold 1.4 million albums and 2.9 million track downloads.

“Anomaly” hit Billboard’s No. 1 the week ending September 14, 2014 — a first for a gospel album and only the fifth for a Christian album.

Success is all around this guy.. keep in mind that Christian Hip Hop songs are not hitting the Billboard’s No. 1 spot like this every day..

His acting debut in “Believe Me,” a film about a group of four men who try to con money out of churchgoers, received a short, positive nod from The New York Times. (source)

Check out what Lecrae said,

“A mentor told me years ago, ‘Lecrae you’re not in the widget and gimmick business, you’re in the people business. As long as you take care of people, they’ll take care of you,’” the rapper is quoted in his official bio. “So we’ve always looked at it as if we’re not trying to sell CDs, we’re trying to take care of people —Give them messages of hope and inspiration.”

As I’m reading all about Lecrae I’m realizing the way this guy thinks..

How he sees things…

In the Lecrae Biography I also see where he stated,

“People struggle with categories. Categories make us feel comfortable because it’s how we make sense of things in our minds,” Grammy-award winner Lecrae Moore ponders. But sometimes, when you discover something really special, it defies category. Lecrae finishes his thought, “Sometimes, there’s transcendence.”

This way of thinking is very much the way we SHOULD see things in the Home Based Business industry. At least the person you are following should already have this mind set already in place so that they can lead you into a place of transcendence.

The reality is that if you keep doing what the majority is doing.. you will remain like the majority.

And I don’t know if you notice.. yet they are not FREE!!

Conquering The Sales Process Leads To True Freedom

Understanding Your Sales Process Will Show You What Bridge To Build

I can’t speak for you..

Yet when I started my first business.. I had not idea what a sales process could do for me.

Truth be told.. had you asked me about my sales process.. I would have probably looked at you crazy and changed the subject.

LOL..

I laugh because I know for a fact that I’m not alone.

See at the beginning we join a business for a particular reason. I’ve listed a few below.. maybe you can see yourself in them:

More time with the family
Money to pay off debt
Money to supplement the job income
In order to travel the world
To fill a need for child support (oh.. this was me.. smile)
To leave the job
Freedom to live your life YOUR way
Enter your reason here

The focus in building the business is usually the end goal.

Unfortunately in the Home Based Business industry people are rarely taught how to actually sale.

Many join because the excitement of the dream becoming a reality.. then they follow the first steps given to them..

“Talk to your friends, family, co-workers, everyone you know.”

Then when you are finished with those.. simply share your business with everybody you meet.

Ok.. seriously that works at the very beginning.. yet how about when you have a 6 months under your belt…

No success.. and now you are becoming a little burned out..

You realize you are not at a river.. you must cross it to continue.. yet the bridge is missing! Now WHAT?

Well.. the bridge will appear when you discover the Sales Process.

The 7 Step Sales Process That Converts

1. Product Knowledge: Know your product! You should understand exactly what you are offering to the market place. I always start here when consulting my marketing clients. The first place we start is with the product. It’s what you are selling. Write down 5 problems that YOUR product is a solution to. If you have a line of different products, pick 3 that you will start your sales process selling.. and write down 5 problems for each product.

2. Prospecting: Yes time to locate your customers.. are help them locate you (will go more in to that later). Prospecting is a section that many take way more lightly then they should. Everyone is not meant to use your product, or join you in business. You have a valuable product, treat it as such. Make sure that you are digging in the right place, so that you can communicate with those that you know will benefit from your product. Which leads to less rejection and more sales. I wrote an entire article on this topic, you can see it here!

3. The Approach: This is where it all gets really interesting. For this article we are going to consider the approach in the context of lead generation, vs. the sales call. Why? Well, I specialize in lead generation and honestly enjoy connecting with new people on auto-pilot while I’m at my daughter’s soccer game.. yet that’s just me. This is the step where you begin to build relationships. Make sure to have follow-up emails set in your autoresponder. I recommend at least 7 very GOOD emails for each list. Stats show that it can take up to 7 touches for a person to take action. So make the first 7 emails count. Another thing to consider in your approach is to remember to market to each list separately. For example if you gathered the lead with a Facebook Marketing ebook, then send them information on Facebook Marketing.. not LinkedIn Marketing. (Please don’t ask me how I know this.. let’s just say I learned the hard way.. ROFL)

4. The Needs Assessment: I believe this is one of the most important sections of the sales process. Which really lines right up with number one. Knowing the problem that your product solves allows you to know exactly how your target market will respond. You have to take time, if the person doesn’t buy immediately, to tap into their needs. The offer that captured the lead is your initial point of assessment. For example if a person opts in to a list talking about generating leads.. they probably have a problem getting leads. IE: Need = Leads. Your product is a solution to obtaining leads.. so simply tip tap on this need over and over.. then offer the solution.

5. The Presentation: Depending on the technique you use to present.. for example video, blog post, email, in person, or social media inbox remember this one thing. Only one thing.. I don’t care what anybody else tells you.. This one thing is all you need to remember.. PERIOD!! Ok.. I just said I don’t care what you’ve heard.. this is the ONLY thing you need to remember.. “Stories sell and Facts tell”.. so what do you want to do.. Sell.. or tell.. yeah.. that’s what I thought.. smile.

6. The Close: Wow.. the close.. just give me a moment of silence.. Ok.. let’s continue.. Why the moment of silence?? Because this is where the death of the sales process occurs the most! Never be afraid to go in for the close. Have a clear and concise call to action. Go in with confidence.. do not.. let me repeat do not act scared.. Now you can be scared.. just don’t act like it.. I become someone else every time I close.. I may have even closed you and yes.. Now you know.. I was no longer Shalonda.. I was Michelle. You may meet her again someday. LOL.. Michelle is a closing BEAST!! No does not scare her.. WHY? Because she knows if you say No today that she has her sales funnel set up so that you will Yes tomorrow! (You can set yours up in 10 minutes right here). There many ins and out to closing.. which I will get into later this week, so make sure to snatch your free gift over on the right so that you have access when it comes out.

7. The Follow-up: One of the most overlooked sections of the sales process. The reality is that the follow-up is for those who have purchased from you just as much as those who have not yet taken action. Make the follow-up a priority and watch your conversions raise higher and higher. When following up on-line videos are amazing. Speak directly to your prospect in the video.. What are you doing with your PROSPECT??

Many times when we join our business we are so excited that we simply tell everybody that we have found the next best thing since sliced bread.

We try to sign up everyone that we run into.

Yet the reality is that this is not the best way to prospect, and truth be told everyone is not meant to become your prospect.

Realizing that your business is not for everybody is the best place to start and also realizing that you really don’t want to work with just anybody.

Now that you have found the next best thing, it is now your job to sort through the people in order the find the ones that were meant to work with you.

Who is YOUR perfect Prospect?

When approaching a person in order to see if they are a good fit for your business or prospect them, you need to interview them.

Just like if you were applying for a job they would interview you… or if you were hiring somebody to work with you, you would interview them.

Well the same needs to happen now that you are deciding who the individuals are that will take your business to the next level.

I’ve learned from many, yet let me mention Dani Johnson. She taught me how to F.O.R.M individuals prior to introducing them to my business opportunity.

In order to F.O.R.M a person you will ask a series if questions to help you determine how your opportunity is a solution to their situation.

You may also find through this process that the individual is meant to be a preferred customer instead of a business owner.

Now F.O.R.M stands for the following:

1. F = Family: Let’s ask them about their family and determine if the business will help solve an issue in this area. For example: “Do you have children?” “Do you have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with your family?”

2. O = Occupation: Let’s ask them about what they currently do for a living. For example: “Are you currently working?” “What kind of work do you do?” “Do you like what you do?”

3. R = Recreation: Let’s ask them about what they like to do with their free time. For example: “What do you do for fun?” “How many times do you get to do that a week?”

4. M = Motivation: Let’s ask about what motivates them to continue building a business. For example: “Why are you trying to start your own business?” “If your business hit a slow spell, what would motivate you to keep pushing forward?”

Now you know your Prospect!!

Now that we have learned something about our prospect, we can make a better informed decision about how our business will help them in their situation.

You are starting to build a relationship.

Many people forget that Network Marketing is about relationships.

Remember that people join people not businesses.

So you want to build a relationship with your prospect so that they will want to join you.

The final and most important rule for the basics of prospecting is that you must listen to them.

You must ask your question and LISTEN to their answer.

This is a vital key to successful prospecting.

I have found that in the past when I failed to listen to the needs of my prospect that I left without the new member.

Once I actually started listening to my prospects my conversion rates went through the roof.

Cold Calling Is Not DEAD!

Anybody who has been in Network Marketing, Sales, or really business in general has had to deal with picking up the phone to call a prospect. Cold calling is one of the most disliked techniques, yet when done correctly it can completely explode your bank account.

Yet let’s just be honest.. who really wants to sit around calling random people?

I never did. I couldn’t stand cold calling. Which is one of the main reason I came to the internet.

I simply knew there had to be a better way.

There was one moment in my sales career that I literally converted about 85% of all my calls into sales.

The product… they were Sesame Street Books. I worked at an outbound call center. I would sit on the phones for hours.. taking call after call after call.

Yes.. I was that person calling during dinner to offer you something you needed in your house.

How did I convert 85% of my calls into sales, you ask.. Oh.. I knew that every single person I spoke with had kids. During those days Sesame Street Books were a hot commodity.

Funny, I know.. yet the numbers didn’t lie. I treated each call like their lives depended on their kids reading Sesame Street Books.. and 85% bought into my story. See most of the adults that answered the phone also grew up reading Sesame Street Books just like myself… and we all want our kids to have the best of what we experienced.

Well everyone has caller ID. So basically they have made an assumption before they even answer the phone with “Hello!”

Now I’m a single mom of two amazing daughters.

Child Support Payments Truth Revealed!

What a serious topic.. at least for those of us that it effects..

From custodial parents to non-custodial parents, we are all effected.

When it comes to child support many immediately go to “The System”. They basically put all the power in the hands of the government and wait for them to collect their child support payments. There is this big uproar about how “unfair” it is for the non-custodial parent. Or It’s an uproar about how the custodial parent uses the funds.. Well for the rest of this article.. I will no longer differentiate between non-custodial parents and custodial parents.. from this point further we are simply PARENTS!

Just so you know my perspective.. yes I’m a parent that keeps the children in my home 99% of the time. Yes I’m the primary caregiver as well as provider. I have two daughters with two different fathers. (Feel free to say what you want about me.. it says nothing about my character.. it only speaks to yours.. yet that is a totally different article.)

I remember when I first came into contact with “The System” for child support payments. It amazed me how much of my life it took away and how it appeared to be such a negative thing. Like how dare I attempt to hold a parent accountable for their actions. I felt discouraged, hopeless, and alone. Now I was not alone.. yet I felt that way.

As a parent, you want the best for your child. Regardless of what happens in relationships between the parents, the child should have the chance to feel the love and support all around them. Yet it seems those child support payments can cause all kind of friction.

See one parent feels like they need more assistance while the other parent feels like they…. Ok.. Ok.. enough of the PC talking.. let’s be real..

Folks are straight HURT..and hurt people… hurt people. And if they can do it by making the money tight.. so be it.

My Story With Child Support Payments Is Common.. Yet How I Dealt With It.. Not So Common

Want to know my story?? Well.. when it comes to child support payments… I only have one to tell.. as my youngest child is in “The System”, yet I take care of her solo.. (All Glory To God that I’m able to)

So my oldest child’s father was giving me around $100 a month.. when my daughter was 9 months to around 1.5 years old. Then he received a better job…. much better. His overhead was no where near mines.. yet he told me.. notice that word.. TOLD me.. we didn’t discuss it, he didn’t inquire as to the needs of the child.. he simply told me that now he would give me $150 a month, while he made $50,000 a year. I sat there and made a decision. I decided to allow the government to collect my child support payments for me. And well lets just say $150 didn’t quite cut it.

Now let me just go a little deeper.. as I know all about the other money that a parent spends outside of child support payments. You know the clothes, the presence, the activities, the daycare, the school supplies. Yes there are many many other ways to support a child without giving the other parent money. Yet that was not my story. I received that amount and all that other stuff that money can be spent on.. well that was my money being spent on those things.

Notice I didn’t state anything about ‘feelings’. I made the decision to end things. I decided I could do better alone. I made decisions that today.. knowing what I know now..

I would have done the EXACT SAME WAY! Yet.. child support payments should have NOTHING to do with how you are feeling.. and if a parent is making decisions based on feelings when it comes to child support.. they are in the WRONG, PERIOD.

Now even though “The System” had the power to collect the child support payments.. there were years when I received nothing at all. Now this is where it got REAL INTERESTING..

Almost FORBIDDEN…

That kind of secret room in the back of the closet kind of forbidden.

Now Stop Reading If You Have Drank The Kool-Aid, Walk Around In A Daze Half Of The Time, Thinking You Are In Control Of Your Life Even Though You Do Not Control Your Child Support Payments!

See “they” like it when you keep arguing over things that are out of your control.. For example you have kids..

You are a single parent..

You are struggling to make ends meet…

You allow “them” to collect your child support payments…

You do not receive the payments.. now you have no control over the collection of the funds.. you realize that if the payments come.. they come.. if they don’t they don’t

You get angry with the other parent. There is this underlining dislike in your voice every time you talk about the other parent.

The child feels all of this.. yet you do not take control back.. you keep playing the blame game.

Now your child grows up and has issues.. because you couldn’t get it together.. all because you GAVE UP CONTROL!

Top Bloggers Know Things..

It always amazes me how cookie cutter society has become..

I mean we want everything fast and in a hurry..

We see something that “looks” easy and we decide.. ohhh I’m going to do that..

Or better yet someone tells us it will be easy.. we buy into it.. and depend on that person to take us all the way to victory.

I’m not judging.. if what I’ve just said makes you feel some kind of way.. don’t get mad at me… just read on..

See I’m not judging because I’d be crazy to do that.. It would be like judging myself.. smile.

See I remember when I started blogging because I “thought” it would be simple. And at first it was very simple..

It just didn’t make me any money.

My oldest daughter laughs at me because I have this saying..

See she believes that I literally have eye balls in the back of my head.. or that I’m psychic.. WHY?

Because I know things.. just like top bloggers.

It reminds me of when I was younger.. see I come from a generation where my mother was not afraid to discipline me.

One day we were in the car driving somewhere.. I was old enough to sit in the front seat. She was going off about something.. I don’t even remember.

What I remember is that I was ‘thinking’ something.. and before I could even express myself.. I was being punished.. (I’ll leave it at that.. as I’m still living and have great love for my mother so obviously it wasn’t life threatening.. lol)

And that wasn’t the first time she responded before me.. It was like this lady could see the future.. used to drive me crazy.

As I became a mother.. the years went by.. I’d tell my daughter every time she asked me.. “How did you know??”

I would simply say.. “I know things!!”

Then it happened.. that moment that gave me goosebumps.. that moment when in the movies you would see a flashback of a moment when I was young.. and..
